Water is a critical resource issue that connects all of the SDGs. As a result, it is essential to understand the role of water in ensuring economic development, business growth, social well-being and ecosystem health. This keynote and panel discussion will explore the value of water in addressing economic, social and environmental needs and achieving the other SDGs beyond SDG 6.

Rebuild Better: An opportunity for a sustainable, resilient and equitable society

The pandemic has revealed inequity in access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, lack of resilience in infrastructure and the need for innovative resilient and equitable solutions to achieve SDG 6. There will be no return to normal nor should we want to make this return. Instead we have an opportunity to rebuild better. We are now seeing a range of stakeholders not only map out the world we want but also implement these changes. This keynote and session will provide exciting visions for a better world but practical examples of successful circular economy programs and projects.

The private sector has a critical role in solving water challenges. The private sector has scale, speed to innovate and deploy solutions, skills and capabilities that complement the public sector, NGOs, investors, entrepreneurs and civil society.
