3) understand why universities and research institutes have to change to a more Market Driven model in order to realize the true potential of R&D commercialisation.

The two-day workshop will be held in Tehran and the topics of the conference will be covering several important aspects of commercialization such as:

The Centre for International Scientific Study and Collaboration (CISSC) and IROST Institute of Advanced Technology is co-organising a workshop/conference on "Application of Synchrotron Light in Life Sciences and Nanotechnology" on February 22-24, 2010 in Tehran, I.R. Iran. This workshop mainly aims at enriching the interested audience with new information about various potential applications of SR methods in life science, nanotechnology, biotechnology and industrial and biological spectrum.

CISSC and IROST are highly pleased to invite four resource persons specialised in the subjects mentioned in the attached brochure and are ready to sponsor all expenses related to their travel and attendance in the workshop including a round trip economy class ticket, accommodation and daily allowance as per UN rate. The topics of the first day of the workshop are undertaken by Iranian resource persons and nominated resource persons from Australia, South Korea, China, South Africa and other developing and developed countries are invited to cover the topics mentioned in the attached programme.
