The FEMIP Internship Programme: Building Capacity in Mediterranean Partner Countries
The Internship Programme is open to students who are nationals of the Mediterranean partner countries (Algeria, Egypt, Gaza/West bank, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey). The goal of the Programme is to offer successful candidates an opportunity to improve their skills as well as the experience of working in an international multicultural environment.
To be eligible for the Internship Programme, candidates must have a degree from or be in the final year of a course at an institute of higher education. Generally, successful candidates will have enrolled on a graduate study programme (be pursuing a master’s degree) and already have some work experience.
How to apply?
Interested candidates must submit their applications online at www.eib.org/jobs. Candidates must also submit their CVs and should include one letter of recommendation, preferably from a professor. Only those identified for an assignment will be contacted to discuss their application and availability. Candidates are selected by a panel on a highly competitive basis. The application period for the Programme is 15 July to 25 September 2008.

The Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) of Malaysia has successfully organized the first International Conference on Research Advances in Kuala Lumpur on 28-29 November 2007. The conference provided an excellent platform for internationally renowned and local expertise in the area of Research and Development in Halal Industry to network and share their findings and experiences.
